SHRI MUKESH KUMAR BANSAL श्री मुकेश कुमार बंसल

Sh. Mukesh Kumar Bansal is an officer of Indian Administrative Service (2005 batch). He is presently working as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

Sh. Bansal is a Commerce graduate and also an MBA from the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. He has also completed his MA Economics from IGNOU.

Prior to his posting as Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance in October, 2022 he worked as Private Secretary to Hon'ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt of India, from March, 2020 to October, 2022).

Before being deputed to the Government of India, Sh. Bansal held various key positions in his Cadre State of Chhattisgarh. He had worked as CEO. Zila Panchayat, North Bastar Kanker; Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Bilaspur. He worked as Collector & District Magistrate in three districts namely Kabirdham, Raigarh & Rajnandgaon from 2011 to 2017. He was Special Secretary to Honble Chief Minister Chhattisgarh from 2017 to 2018 and at that time he also held additional post of CEO, Naya Raipur Development Authority. He had also worked in different departments namely Agriculture, Tribal Development, Rural Industries as Special Secretary.

श्री मुकेश कुमार बंसल भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा (2005 बैच) के अधिकारी हैं। वर्तमान में वे वित्तीय सेवाएँ विभाग, वित्त मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार में संयुक्त सचिव के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।

श्री बंसल वाणिज्य के स्नातक हैं और स्लोन स्कूल ऑफ मैनेजमेंट, मैसाचुसेट्स इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका से एम.बी.ए हैं। उन्होने इग्नू से अर्थशास्त्र में एम.ए. भी किया है।

वित्तीय सेवाएँ विभाग, वित्त मंत्रालय में संयुक्त सचिव के रूप में पदस्थापित होने से पूर्व, वे मार्च 2020 से अक्तूबर 2022 तक माननीय कृषि और किसान कल्याण मंत्री, भारत सरकार के निजी सचिव के रूप में कार्यरत थे।

भारत सरकार में प्रतिनियुक्त होने से पूर्व, श्री बंसल अपने संवर्ग राज्य छत्तीसगढ़ में विभिन्न प्रमुख पदों पर आसीन रहे हैं। उन्होंने जिला पंचायत, उत्तर बस्तर कांकेर के प्रधान कार्यपालक अधिकारी के रूप में काम किया; बिलासपुर नगर निगम के आयुक्त रहे हैं। उन्होंने 2011 से 2017 तक तीन जिलों कबीरधाम, रायगढ़ और राजनांदगाँव में कलेक्टर और जिला मैजिस्ट्रेट के रूप में कार्य किया। वे 2017 से 2018 तक माननीय मुख्यमंत्री छत्तीसगढ़ के विशेष सचिव रहे और उस समय उन्होंने नया रायपुर विकास प्राधिकरण के प्रधान कार्यपालक अधिकारी के रूप में अतिरिक्त कार्यभार का भी निर्वहन किया। उन्होंने विशेष सचिव के रूप में कृषि, आदिवासी विकास, ग्रामीण उद्योग जैसे विभिन्न विभागों में भी काम किया है।
